Through the years, as technologies were further developed or new technologies added to the shoes, weight was added to Hoka's Clifton model. To counter this these new versions of the Clifton have been made a bit lighter. Instead of the 266 grams of its predecessor, these Clifton 6s weigh an approximate 255 grams.
The renewed upper is made of Engineered Mesh material. This material is softer than that of the Clifton 5 and encloses the feet better. The upper's high breathability keeps the feet comfortable throughout your runs. A sturdier part has been added to the midfoot to increase the lockdown feeling of the feet.
The midsole is a bit softer. It's still made out of EVA cushioning material over the soles full length, but the shoe's geometry has been adapted to acquire this softer feel. The outsole has become more flexible and more durable. When used normally the shoes will therefore last longer. The flexible outsole stimulates the heel-to-toe transition. The Meta-Rocker offers extra stability when running.
